Launches “Titanes del Trombón” Project on Artistshare®
New York, NY - Friday, November 14, 2014 – Trombonist, composer and arranger Doug Beavers launches his new project Titanes del Trombón on the prestigious fan-funded Artistshare® platform. The project, which pays tribute to the great trombonists of both jazz and Afro-cuban music, will feature renown musicians Oscar Hernandez, Edsel Gomez, Luisito Quintero, Luques Curtis, and many more, with more feature guests to be announced during the course of the project.
Beavers, an Eddie Palmieri and Spanish Harlem Orchestra alumnus and Grammy® winner, will be casting a suite of original compositions and arrangements in expanded orchestration, including strings, french horns and the like, to complete this vision.
Fans of the project can engage directly in the creative process of Titanes del Trombón, by supporting the project directly at Artistshare. Once joined, the fan can view sketches of the project’s scores, video of rehearsals, or even attend the recording/mixing/mastering session by special invitation.
The project is officially open for support today.
